Having Esther and Sarah come into school to talk about relationships and health really helped me think about what was right for me.

The question box gave me and my friends a chance to ask the questions we really needed answers to.

Welcome to All About RSE with Esther Hardy and Sarah Mumford

All About RSE is centred on delivering excellent, up to date and accurate Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) that is appropriate for young people at different stages and ages. We work across London and the home counties.

We facilitate sessions that are sensitive but lively, and that take into consideration what many young people say they need from RSE. All our sessions are compatible with the Department of Education’s new Relationships and Sex Education and Health Education statutory guidance 2019.

Enabling healthy choices

Our aim is to encourage young people to see how valuable they are and to equip them with information and strategies that will help them in making conscious and intelligent decisions about relationships and sex.

Building self-respect

Over the years we have found that giving young people the opportunity to investigate the issues in a safe, structured environment greatly increases their confidence in thinking about what is right for them personally. We do not believe that sex education makes young people more sexually active. In fact we think it helps them to realise that it is alright to say ‘no’ to sex and wait until they are older before becoming sexually active.

Partnership with schools and parents

When teaching about relationships and sex we are extremely aware that for staff, students and parents this can be a tricky area to negotiate. With this in mind we aim to establish a positive working relationship with the school. We value the teachers' input into the areas they feel would be most appropriate for their students and the need to fit within the schools ethos and curriculum.

Flexible lessons, professional feedback

Our lessons are interactive and we encourage students to learn through, games, use of DVDs, music, discussion and quizzes, PowerPoint presentations as well as Q & A sessions. We are happy to work in small groups or with whole year groups. We plan our lessons for each individual school and their individual requirements. We always aim to give each school a lesson plan to keep for their records. When appropriate we will follow up any issues from lessons with written feedback.

Qualified and experienced

Over the years we have had extremely positive feedback from students and staff alike. Students regularly express how useful the sessions have been and ask us to come again and staff find it hugely helpful to have independent workers with specialist knowledge to facilitate the lessons. Please do read some of the testimonials from people we have worked with.
